I should have looked up reviews prior to hiring Michelle. She and her crew (which is non existent) gave me high hopes but end the end she quit after her second lawn mowing. She asked for $250 upfront for a weekly now, worked really hard the first visit and did a decent job. Then the next weeks mowing was completely different. She obviously did not want to be there and did an awful job leaving grass everywhere and even using my debris container which we agreed would not be used. My wife and I agreed to discontinue her services at the end of the month once she reached her 4th mowing. Then I looked up reviews and realized we made a mistake from the beginning. My wife and I then made bets to see if she would show up next week. Guess what happened? She texted the day she was supposed to show up explaining she hurt her back at the last job and further explained than my lawn needed a riding lawnmower (which she doesn’t have) so she couldn’t continue to mow my lawn. I asked her for a $100 refund and agreed but she never refunded the money. I’m guessing she suffers from substance abuse and likely needs the money more than I do.

Would not recommend Michelle Border with Edges & Borders. She was our landscaper, just stopped coming. No notice - we have rental properties and a business to run so this was a problem, and bad timing. We didn't even know she stopped until our assistant dropped by to check on things. Then she said a few times she would come and service us, but didn't. And then she ignored my emails. Why not just tell me she didn't want the job anymore, I'd rather just be told that. Made no sense. She was good at first, then petered out.

Get your agreement in writing, and don’t pay her before she works. She is a hard worker, but quite unprofessional in her communication and her pricing strategy.
